For the last couple of days, AP BJP is facing internal issues. Former minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana quitting the BJP ignited more troubles and on Thursday nearly 30 leaders of AP BJP were spotted in the national capital and met AP BJP in-charge Muralidharan. This meeting caused a debate in AP BJP and some insiders say that AP BJP leaders are seriously upset with chief Somu Veerraju.
Post meeting Muralidharan, the AP BJP leaders added that they have discussed many issues pertaining to the party in the state but refused to comment against Somu Veerraju. “We have been in BJP for the last 30 years despite many ups and downs. Some party internal matters were discussed and we would not like to disclose them to the media because they are completely internal affairs,” said a leader.
From the media reports we hear that these BJP leaders brought up the issue of the newly appointed district Presidents which happened overnight and many seniors who are with BJP for a long time were snubbed and new entrants were given a chance.
Seemingly Kanna left BJP only because of the differences he had with Somu and it is evident that Somu’s way of handling the AP BJP affairs is not up to the mark. With the rebel group allegedly lodging a complaint against Somu, rumours have it that there might be a change of guard. Very soon Muralidharan will be visiting AP and he would sit down with key leaders and resolve the matters at the earliest with elections fast approaching.
