Peddireddy Trying To Become CM?

TDP scion Nara Lokesh targeted YCP senior leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy during this Yuva Galam tour in Punganur. He alleged that Peddireddy is trying to become the chief minister, probably to wedge differences between the minister and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Lokesh said that Peddireddy was waiting for Jagan Mohan Reddy to go to the jail so that he can sit in the CM chair. There is discussion in the YCP over who would become the CM, if Jagan is jailed, Lokesh said.

He slammed Peddireddy for doing no good to Chittoor even while being a senior minister in the Cabinet. If there is any one district which had incurred heavy loss under Jagan’s rule, it is Chittoor, Lokesh said and wondered why Peddireddy, though being a senior minister, could not try to get at least industry to the district.

It is due to Peddireddy’s goondaism that industrialists are fearing to establish their factories in the district, he alleged.

Further, he promised that the Telugu Desam Party would try to develop Chittoor in all aspects and said that he would personally look into the development of Punganur constituency. He announced that once the TDP comes to power, he would ensure establishment of factories and at the same time, release a job calendar to provide employment to the youth. Lokesh said that he would take steps for the welfare of not just the backward communities but also the economically weaker sections belonging to the forward caste. The TDP will focus on empowering people for self-employment, he said.

He warned of taking serious action against Peddireddy’s aides who were troubling the TDP leaders in the constituency. He appealed to the public in the constituency to vote for Challa Ramachandra Reddy, who would contest as the TDP candidate, in the 2024 elections.
