Kodi Kathi Case: NIA Court summons CM Jagan

The National Investigation Agency which is probing the 2018 case involving AP CM YS Jagan who was attacked by a knife in Vizag airport, has placed its arguments before the NIA court today. After arguments from both the sides, the NIA court has summoned the victim none other than CM Jagan to make his personal presence.

“This case needs the statements of the victim and hereafter he needs to attend the investigation and court hearings,” said the NIA court and this case has been postponed for next hearing on March 14th. This is for the first time that the NIA Court has asked Jagan to make his personal appearance.

Jagan’s personal assistant (PA) Nageswara Reddy, Assistant Commander of Central Reserve Police Force Dinesh Kumar and other eye witnesses attended today’s hearing of the case.

Meanwhile the accused Srinivas’ bail petition has been rejected multiple times. The NIA Court informed that Srinivas needs a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from the victim for bail and the negotiations are going on.

In 2018, CM Jagan who was then the opposition leader was flying to Hyderabad from Vizag. He was attacked by an airport stuff in the airport VIP lounge. This incident created ripples in the political circles. CM Jagan was briefly treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
