Tamilnadu Builds Walls On Roads To Stop Andhra Folks

Published by

In what could be seen as a shocker and also the most unethical way of dealing things, the officers from neighbouring Tamilnadu state have shocked Andhra Pradesh officials with their over-enthusiasm to combat Covid-19 pandemic. They have gone to the extent of constructing a wall on the road.

Saying that Tamilnadu also needs to check the possible threat from Andhra Pradesh, as people with corona positive might come to their state and spread the infection to others, they have taken the extreme step of constructing walls on roads. Rather setting up checkpoints to stop people, one wonders how these intelligent TN officers have built walls. What will they do if there is some emergency and people need to travel?

Other than National Highway, there are three roads from Chitoor that could reach Tamilnadu state. And at the Tamilnadu-Andhra border, at three places, now TN authorities have build parapet walls with cement. The three checkpoints include Settimthangal road en route Tiruttani, Gudiyattam near Palamaneru and another one near Bommasamudram.

Right now officials from AP’s Chittoor District are trying to take the matter to Cheif Minister’s notice in order to take necessary action on this.
