Kavitha Skips ED Probe; To Be Arrested?

BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha who was supposed to reach Pravartan Bhavan i.e, ED’s headquarters in New Delhi, has not made it yet. 11 AM was the scheduled time informed to Kavitha by the ED to appear before it but she did not step out of her residence in Delhi.

According to the media reports, Kavitha reportedly sent her advocate Soma Bharat to ED office to explain her absence. The ED officers reportedly declined Kavitha’s plea of her absence and summoned her to appear before them today. There is huge buzz that Kavitha’s arrest is evitable and so she is having a second thought appearing before the ED.

After meeting ED officials, Kavitha lawyer Soma Bharat spoke to the media and added that this is a conspiracy against Kavitha. “The fundamental right is that a woman should not be questioned after 6 PM and if she is a mother of two who are 15 years below, she can be questioned at her home. Her personal phone was seized illegally. Unfortunately the ED did not follow these norms and this is purely a vengeful act,” said Soma Bharat.

The advocate informed that he submitted a couple of documents that ED asked Kavitha and denied Kavitha citing health issues for her absence.

Meanwhile Kavitha has written to ED that she would appear before it after 24^th of March because her petition is pending in the Supreme Court. The ED is yet to respond to Kavitha’s letter.
