Botsa Compares Kodi Kathi Case To Alipiri Attack

Botsa Satyanarayana

Minister Botsa Satyanarayana condemned the opposition parties for trying to distort the National Investigation Agency’s report on the Kodi Kathi case. They are trying to mislead the people by giving a different analysis of the report and wrongly saying that it was planned by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy himself to gain sympathy. This is disgusting, he said.

Reminding about the Alipiri attack on TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu by Naxalites in 2003, so can we also say that it was pre-meditated by Naidu himself to gain people’s sympathy, he asked.

The YCP is demanding the NIA to do a comprehensive inquiry into the chicken knife attack on Jagan in Vizag airport, he said and added that they were trying to know the real motive behind it.

The TDP is stooping to a very low level by making such insulting remarks which are unwarranted. Can political leaders be so ignominious, Botsa asked.

The NIA, in its report, said that the accused, Srinivas attacked Jagan only because he wanted the latter to become the CM of Andhra Pradesh. Further, he said that he did not want to do any harm to Jagan and hence, attacked him with a small knife, after sterilizing it, as it would not cause much injury. He made it clear that he did not want to make a fatal attack on Jagan.

Srinivas also told the NIA that he knew that he was committing a crime but did it only to see Jagan as the CM. He also said that he was a staunch supporter of late YSR, father of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
