Relief To Avinash Reddy Till 25th

In what can be a minor relief to Avinash Reddy, the Telangana High Court ordered the CBI to not arrest Kadapa MP till April 25th. Justice Surender bench, which is hearing the appeal of Avinash Reddy, has issued interim orders. It said it reserved its verdict for April 25th and asked the CBI to wait till its verdict. This is a significant development in Avinash Reddy’s anticipatory bail plea.

Earlier, T Niranjan Reddy, the advocate representing Avinash Reddy, informed the HC that the arrest of Bhaskar Reddy was “illegal” as his petition was pending before the court. The advocate also argued that Avinash Reddy was being “wrongly implicated” by the CBI. It is said that Dastagiri’s confession alone is the basis for the CBI. Avinash’s lawyer alleged that Dastagiri is “pressured” to issue statements against Avinash owing to “political conspiracy”.

CBI arrested Avinash’s father Bhaskar Reddy and Avinash’s key aide Uday Kumar Reddy. The CBI court had earlier issued CBI custody of the duo for 6 days. CBI informed the HC that it will jointly interrogate Avinash along with Bhaskar Reddy and Uday Kumar Reddy. The CBI lawyer informed the court that Avinash Reddy is very much aware of Viveka’s murder alleging that the murderer along with the weapon headed to Avinash’s house after Viveka’s murder on 15th March, 2019. The CBI quoted the Google Takeout data. It said Avinash could influence the case if the anticipatory bail is issued.

The CBI appealed to the High Court to not issue anticipatory bail to Avinash Reddy who is allegedly a key person in Viveka’s murder. Meanwhile, the lawyer representing YS Sunita also informed the HC that Avinash is not cooperating to CBI’s investigation and taking court’s permission. The CBI also informed the court that there is no evidence of Viveka’s illegal affairs. It said Avinash was aware of the murder conspiracy against former Kadapa MP YS Vivekananda Reddy.

Amidst all this, the HC posted the verdict in Avinash’s bail plea for 25th April and directed the CBI to not arrest till its judgement. This is a minor relief for Avinash Reddy and YSRCP.
