‘Gali behind elevation of many as ministers and CMs’

Mining baron Gali Janaradhan Reddy’s wife Lakshmi Aruna exuded confidence that their party Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha (KRPP) would win the elections in the north Karnataka.

Aruna said that parting ways with the BJP would not affect their prospects as Gali Janardhan Reddy is a brand unto himself and people know that he would serve them.

With a football, the party’s symbol, in her hands, Aruna has been going door-to-door to urge voters to vote for the party. While she is contesting from Bellary, Janardhan Reddy filed papers to contest from Gangavati.

She said that all the development in Bellary region of Karnataka had been possible due to Janardhan Reddy only. The four-lane roads and high mast lamps were introduced to the region by Gali family, she said.

She also reminded that many political leaders had become ministers and Chief Ministers in the state taking help from Gali Janardhan Reddy. The Gali family has been in politics for the last 30 years, she said.

Aruna also said that the people were welcoming her with open arms even after her husband had been away from politics for more than 12 years. This shows that the people have recognised our services to them, she added.

Further, she said that the numerous welfare programmes implemented in the region under her husband’s tenure would definitely be remembered by the people and they would vote their party to power.
