Rayapati Blackmailing Chandrababu?

After the Graduate MLC elections, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is drawing new strategies for the party’s victory in the 2024 elections. In that line Chandrababu has decided to set some of the senior TDP leaders aside and give a chance to fresh faces. Learning about Naidu’s policy towards seniors, some of them are in thoughts to turn rebels.

Apparently Chandrababu Naidu is in no mood to offer tickets to some seniors but these experienced leaders are demanding at least two to three tickets for their family members and even threatening the TDP boss. One among the many seniors is former MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and TDP insiders say that he is indirectly blackmailing their boss.

After staying away from the limelight for nearly two months, Rayapati made it to the headlines again. “I’m ready to contest for Narasaraopet Lok Sabha, if Chandrababu Naidu asks me to,” said Rayapati. Not stopping here, he added that he lost the last elections because he had no money for the election campaign.

Rayapati is said to be demanding Lok Sabha seat or two MLA tickets for his family. Rayapati’s son Rangababu is anticipating B-form for Sathenapalli or Pedakurapadu constituency. Besides this, Rayapati wanted an MLA ticket for his younger brother’s daughter Sailaja. “If tickets are offered to my children, I’m ready to stay away from elections,” said Rayapati to his close friends.

Well Rayapati is not done yet as he raked up local and non-local issue for Narasaraopet Lok Sabha segment. He has been talking on the local and non-local issue for many days and now directly exposed himself in front of the media.

On the contrary Chandrababu has zeroed on Narasaraopet Lok Sabha candidate long back. Former TTD chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav’s son Mahesh is said to be the person Chandrababu locked and accordingly Putta’s family received hints. With credible signals from TDP leadership, Putta Mahesh has commenced working in the Lok Sabha segment.

TDP sources say that now that Rayapati has raked up the local and non-local feeling, it will benefit the YCP. The TDP chief has to look into Rayapati’s episode at the earliest and ensure he wouldn’t create any obstacles for the party.
