YCP MP Mithun Reddy said that TDP supremo and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has gone into depression fearing rout of the party in the forthcoming Assembly polls. That is the reason, he is stooping to very low levels of criticism and commenting about YCP boss and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s footwear, shirts and watches, the MP said.
At the same time, you should remember that Jagan has not uttered a single word about Naidu’s son or his daughter-in-law Brahmani. Jagan’s criticism is always politically oriented but never personal, the MP said.
He also took swipe at the former CM for claiming credit for all good things and developments in the country. “He has lost mental balance and that is the reason he says he proposed demonetization, discovered the cell phone and that he developed Hyderabad. In fact, demonetization is the decision of the RBI and Centre and how can the TDP boss be connected with it, he asked.
“The TDP is desperate for power in the state.”
Speaking about Amaravati, the MP alleged that Naidu tried to take up a huge real estate venture in the capital city and did not want the price of land to drop there and hence, prevented issuing of house site pattas to the poor but the Supreme Court upheld the YCP government’s plan and this shows Naidu’s mean mentality.
Similarly, the TDP tried to stall introduction of English medium teaching in government schools as they wanted only the private schools to flourish but now, the students have come out in flying colours after the introduction of English medium in government schools. There is development and welfare across the state which was made possible by the YCP government, he said.
The TDP men always try to scuttle development and welfare by filing court cases.
Touching upon the CID attaching Naidu’s guest house on Karakatta near Vijayawada, Mithun Reddy said that there was no problem in doing so as it is an unclaimed property. The MP pointed out neither Lingamaneni nor Naidu is the owner of the house which clearly indicates that it came up as part of quid pro quo arrangement.
The MP exuded confidence that the YCP would emerge victorious despite all the opposition parties getting united in the 2024 Assembly elections.
