Indian National Democratic Inclusive Alliance – INDIA, this is the new alliance formed in Bengaluru where nearly 30 opposition parties met and discussed strategies to counter the BJP led NDA government. Earlier, there is UPA (United Progressive Alliance) as main contender against NDA Alliances.
This opposition meet was led by the Congress party and with INDIA, Congress and the parties will contest the 2024 elections. On behalf of INDIA, only one candidate will be contesting for the Lok Sabha against the BJP and its allies. This is termed as one against one formula and Congress hopes that the votes will not split with this move.
At the Bengaluru opposition’s meeting, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Congress party has no desire for the Prime Minister chair and it’s only motto is to defeat the BJP government in Delhi.
PM Narendra Modi reacted to the opposition’s meeting and added that all the dynasty and corrupt parties in the country have joined hands to dethrone the BJP.
The interesting details about this opposition meeting is the non-participation of political parties from Telugu states. BRS, TDP, YCP and Jana Sena completely stayed away. BRS is the only party which is not interested in joining forces with the BJP and Congress while TDP, YCP and Jana Sena are inclined towards the BJP.
