Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan met NRIs from Gulf nations at Mangalagiri party office on Saturday. Telugu NRIs who are well settled in the Gulf nations and those who are associated with Jana Sena party’s NRI wing, were invited for the meeting with Pawan Kalyan. Addressing the gathering, Pawan made noteworthy comments on Telangana politics.
“My priority is to contest in Telangana elections as well but our party is not strong enough in the state unlike in Andhra Pradesh. Telangana was carved out with three primary burning issues and they are water, funds and employment. But the employment issue continues to haunt and hurt the youth of Telangana region,” said Pawan Kalyan.
The Jana Sena supremo added that the party would certainly focus on Telangana politics but in a gradual manner. “I have a lot of respect for the Telangana region and I always get inspired by the fighting spirit of this region. Telangana is a part of a soul in me,” stated Pawan.
The statement of contesting the elections from Pawan Kalyan has some political implications. Since Jana Sena is in pact with the BJP in Andhra, will Pawan extend support to the saffron party in Telangana? Or will Jana Sena contest the Telangana polls on its own? Pawan did not clarify on this and hope he might answer in the future.
