Hyderabad International Airport has issued an advisory to the Indian students going abroad, particularly to the United States. The airport authority in its “Traffic Advisory” has asked the students going abroad to limit the visitors accompanying them. It asked to self-restrict the greeters and meeters and their vehicles. Shockingly, 50-60 visitors per pax was observed, said the Hyderabad International Airport in its statement. It urged cooperation from passengers as the airport is under high security alert for Independence Day.
“It has been observed that due to the annual rush in the student traffic going abroad for studies, there has been a huge increase in the number of meeters/greeters at the airport. These numbers range from 50-60 visitors per pax and a significantly large number of vehicles leading to congestion on the access road and ramps. This is causing a great deal of inconvenience to passengers,” said the GMR Hyd Airport in a statement.
“We humbly request and solicit the cooperation of our passengers to self-restrict the number of meeters/greeters and vehicles as the airport is also placed on a high security alert for Independence Day. Kindly support us and help us in ensuring that your journey through our airport is smooth and pleasant,” it added.
