YCP To Sweep In AP: Times Now – ETG Survey

The Times Now – ETG opinion poll conducted in Andhra Pradesh predicted a clean sweep of YSRCP if the elections are held in the state now. Ruling party YCP would bag 24 to 25 Lok Sabha seats whereas TDP would bag 0 to 1 MP seat. The survey was conducted between June 15 and Aug 12. The YSRCP is predicted to secure a humongous vote percentage of 51.3 percent in its favour. The survey also predicted similar results when it had done the similar survey in April this year.

In 2019, YSRCP bagged 22 MP seats with 49.8 percent vote. As per the latest survey, YSRCP’s vote percentage is expected to increase by 1.5 percent. The welfare schemes by the ruling government is said to be the key factor that is working in its favour.

The survey anticipated NDA’s dominance in the Hindi belt with an 80% success rate. BJP and its allies are projected to win over 300 seats. Opposition’s INDIA bloc is likely to attain 160 to 190 seats. NDA may garner 296 to 326 MP seats, marking slight decrease from its 353 seats in 2019. This is despite the Opposition’s unity to challenge the Modi government. But NDA to get nil seats in AP, predicted the survey.

Of the 543 MP seats, NDA to get 42.60 % votes, INDIA bloc to get 40.20% votes, YSRCP to get 2.67% votes, BRS to get 1.15% votes, BJP to get 1.75% votes and others to get 11.63% votes.
