APSRTC Bus Falls In 100 Feet Gorge, 4 Dead!

Four passengers were killed on the spot as the RTC bus in which they were travelling fell into a gorge at the view point on the Paderu ghat road in Alluri Sitarama Raju district this afternoon. The bus travelling from Paderu to Chodavaram reportedly dropped 100-ft down into the valley.

According to reports, there were 60 passengers in the bus. On information, police reached the spot and launched the rescue efforts. Around 30 people suffered minor injuries and 10 others were seriously injured.

Reports said that several others in the bus suffered serious injuries. They were shifted to the nearby hospital. The death toll is likely to increase.

It is being said that the driver tried to avert hitting a branch and could not control the vehicle. The accident occurred 3-km away from Modamamba temple. Ambulances have been pressed into service to shift the bodies and injured to hospital.
