Tweets: Social Media Divided About Renaming India As Bharat

Published by

The reports about India potentially being renamed as Bharat have sparked significant discussion and speculation. It’s been reported that the Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is considering renaming the country, and a fresh resolution for this may be presented during the Special Session of Parliament, scheduled for September 18 – 21.

The speculation around this issue intensified when the invitations for the G20 dinner, set for September 9, referred to the President as the ‘President of Bharat’ instead of ‘President of India.’ This development has raised questions and triggered public interest and debate.

On the other hand, social media is divided, and a lot of BJP supporters are welcoming the move. Meanwhile, some say that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan had voiced out about the same in the past already.

Meanwhile, celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Virender Sehwag, Kangana Ranaut and others supported this move.

The opposition party members are having a different opinion on the same.

It remains to be seen how this matter unfolds and whether it leads to any concrete changes in the country’s official name.
