Chandrababu’s Arrest: Fan Dies Of Heart-Attack!

Hearing about the news of the arrest of opposition leader and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in the wee hours of Saturday (Sep 9, 2023), his die-hard fan and TDP leader Vadde Anjaneyulu died of heart-attack. He was a ward member of TDP from Anantapur’s Dharmapuram who recently won in the by-election. Reportedly, Vadde Anjaneyuly got emotional after learning about party chief Chandrababu’s arrest. News reports have it that Anjaneyulu has been following up the news of Naidu’s arrest on TV. Following this, Anjaneyulu suffered cardiac arrest and passed away.

TDP leaders of Gooty Mandal were shocked with the sudden demise of Anjaneyulu. A pall of gloom descended on the village. TDP leaders reached his house in large numbers and expressed their deep condolences to the family. Several TDP leaders who tried to protest on National Highways were obstructed by the police officials and house-arrested many.

It can be noted that Chandrababu Naidu was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act. AP CID Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), M Dhanunjayudu served notice to Chandrababu Naidu under 50(1) of CrPC. It is mentioned that Naidu has been arrested in crime number 29/2021 registered under sections 120(B), 166, 167, 418, 420, 468, 465, 471, 409, 201, 109 read with 34 and 37 of IPC and sections 12, 13(2) read with 13(1)(c)&(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act.
