Lokesh Named A14 In Amaravati IRR Case

TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh has been named as one of the accused in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road case. The AP-CID named Lokesh as A14 in the case.

The CID sleuths are filing the memo in the court. TDP president Chandrababu Naidu and many others had already been included as accused in this case and Naidu filed an anticipatory bail petition in the High Court, in connection with the case.

The CID alleged that the Andhra Pradesh government, as per the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, had changed the original design of the Amaravati Inner Ring Road to increase the value of the lands owned by the TDP leaders. Last year, the CID sleuths had registered a case under various sections of the IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act in April.

Lokesh is likely to be arrested by the CID sleuths soon. There is buzz among the TDP cadre that Lokesh would also be put behind the bars, like his father and this is likely to be a reality soon.

The FIR filed by the CBI reportedly states that Chandrababu Naidu and Narayana conspired to change the design of the alignment of the Amaravati capital city master plan, inner ring road and seed capital to benefit the TDP leaders possessing lands in the vicinity of the IRR.
