In what can be a disappointment for Chandrababu Naidu and the principal Opposition Party in Andhra Pradesh, the Supreme Court has adjourned the plea filed by Naidu’s counsel seeking the quash of skill development scam case in which Chandrababu is named A37 by the AP CID. The Supreme Court postponed the next hearing to the next Monday 09-10-2023. With this, Chandrababu has to continue in the judicial remand at Rajahmundry Central Prison. Chandra Babu’s advocates challenged the AP High Court order rejecting the Quash Petition.
Eatlier, AP High Court rejected Chandrababu Naidu’s quash petition against the FIR on Skill Development Scam case. The High Court had stated that it can’t quash the case since the investigation is underway. The High Court had stated that it can’t intervene when the investigation is still ongoing. Challenging the High Court orders, Naidu’s advocates have moved the Apex Court. Supreme Court advocate Sidharth Luthra and Former Solicitor General Harish Salve are representing Chandrababu Naidu in the case.
Chandrababu has been alleging that he was wrongly arrested. TDP argues that it is an act of political vengeance. The matter is currently subjudice under Supreme Court. The ruling YSRCP may claim it as its victory in the short term. With each passing day, Chandrababu’s case has become hot topic in politics.
