Telangana Survey: BJP goes down, Congress sees a rise

The BJP’s graph is declining by the day in the state, according to a survey by the Telangana Intentions.

By the time Karnataka election results were out, there was a tough fight between the ruling BRS and the BJP in Telangana political landscape.

Now, the condition has changed and the BJP’s graph has dropped to a single digit and the gap between the BRS and Congress is increasing significantly.

Since the announcement of the six-guarantees, the Congress’ voting share has increased by 1.8% within a week and it is further getting fortified with influx from the ruling BRS, taking the vote share to 1.9%.

Within two weeks of announcing the six guarantees, the support to the Congress has escalated to 3.7%.

According to an opinion survey conducted from 3,000 people in a week, the BRS has a vote share of 40%, Congress 35% while that of the BJP is at a meager 8%.

Over 38% of the voters are learnt to be neutral who would take a decision at the last moment before the elections basing on various factors.

Congress ‘hawa’

In another survey held by the Poll Tracker, it was reported that Congress with a majority of 42% votes will be in the first place, securing 70 seats. In the first week of September, the survey organisaton reported that the Congress would get 63-69 seats, after collecting opinion from 1.23 lakh voters.

Coming to the BRS, the survey report stated that with 34% votes, the ruling BRS would be able to win 35-40 seats. In the third place, MIM would get a maximum of 10% vote share and win from 5 constituencies. The BJP would also win 5 seats.

Citing the same report, the Congress in its X account claimed that it would win 69-71 seats while the BRS would emerge triumphant from 39-41 seats.

No Hung Assembly in Telangana

At the same time, opinion of a hung Assembly is also diminishing.

A couple of months ago, 14% of the people felt that there would be a hung and this number dropped to 6% now.
