Is TDP Legal Team A Step-behind In The Race ?

It has been more than a month since former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP supremo, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu was arrested in the alleged skill development case unearthed by the state CID, but there is no respite for him so far because the Supreme Court bench is yet to take a call on the quash petition filed by his lawyers.

It is a known fact that Naidu immediately moved the Supreme Court challenging the High Court order dismissing his petition to quash the FIR. Unfortunately, he didn’t get any relief so far as the matter was posted to Tuesday for judgement. Meanwhile, reports emerged that Naidu has been suffering from some age-related health issues in the prison. TDP cadre and its leaders have been anxious over his well-being. As per the latest reports, the government has decided to provide additional amenities like AC for him after the ACB court granted permission.

Amidst all this crisis, one thing that has been baffling everyone is the way the legal team of TDP has been lagging at a time when it mattered the most. The legal cell of TDP has a reputation for tackling issues quite effectively all these years. However, it now seems to be a step behind in the race because it failed to counter the moves.

It appears to be an undeniable fact that the legal experts in TDP are just playing the role of mute spectators despite the ailing health condition of CBN. Even though there are reliable reports that he has been suffering from various health issues in the last couple of days, many opine that the legal cell failed to file an urgent petition either in the High Court or the Supreme Court.

Many categorically opined that the legal cell of TDP should have strived hard to first bring Naidu out of the jail on bail petition immediately after his arrest instead of trying to quash the FIR filed on him.
