Veteran actor Krishnam Raju and Star producer Aswini Dutt moved the AP High court filing respective petitions on compensation for their lands.
Both Krishnam Raju and Aswini Dutt gave their lands to the then AP government after bifurcation, as the part of land pooling. Aswini Dutt gave his 39 acres of land to the Telugu Desam government for the development and expansion of Gannavaram airport and so did Krishnam Raju with a 31-acre land.
With the latest developments and the three capital policies of the YSRC government in AP, Aswini Dutt and Krishnam Raju ridiculed the govt’s decision to ignore the previous agreements made. Aswini Dutt filed a petition seeking the compensation for his lands and his petition mentions the Airport authority can start constructions only after paying him Rs 210 crore for his 39 acres of land, as per the land pooling act 2013.
Aswini Dutt and Krishnam Raju’s high court petitions say they have given their lands as they were offered equal valued lands in the state capital as per the CRDA agreements. Now that the capital has been moved to a different location, the value of lands they were offered in Amaravati is no longer the same but much lower than that of their lands.
So, Krishnam Raju and Aswini Dutt filed petitions in High court making the AP government and Airport authority as parties demanding compensation of four times to the value of their lands.
