Trend Changes In Telangana Assembly

There appears to be a change in the trend of the assembly sessions under the new Congress government. The contrast in conducting the assembly proceedings is evident, with ministers, including Revanth Reddy, engaging in extensive discussions.

In the past, ministers did participate in discussions, but the duration of their speeches was comparatively shorter. The focus was often on leaders like KCR, KTR and Harish Rao. However, the current trend sees ministers expressing their views at length, providing an opportunity for various opposition members from BRS, BJP, MIM, and CPI to contribute to the discussions.

Unlike the previous government, where proceedings seemed dominated by a single individual, the Congress-led government is fostering an environment of equal opportunity. Revanth Reddy, along with other opposition members, has urged the speaker to allow diverse voices to be heard on various subjects. This stands in contrast to the past practice of cutting off the microphones of Congress members when KCR or ministers took the floor.
