Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and his deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka toured Delhi today on official duties and they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is a brief transcript of the meeting between the two Telangana lawmakers and the prime minister.
According to reports, Revanth asked Modi to allocate an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) to Hyderabad and also a Sainik school for the state. He requested the center to approve 14 proposals placed by the Telangana government to upgrade the national highway projects in the state.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka briefly addressed the media after the meeting with Modi and he said they requested the prime minister to fulfill the assurances the center made to Telangana state as per the AP Recognition Act.
Modi reportedly assured national status to one irrigation project in Telangana and Railway Coach Factory in Kazipet, apart from a steel plant at Bayyaram. Bhatti commented that the prime minister was positive about working in the interests of Telangana state.
