Kavitha Clarifies On KCR’s 22 Land Cruisers

For the past few days, there has been a lot of debate on the 22 Land Cruiser cars ordered by ex-CM KCR. After Revanth Reddy revealed that KCR secretly ordered 22 new Land Cruiser cars for his convoy, there was an outcry that KCR wasted public money with impractical actions like these.

Today, KCR’s daughter, Kavitha clarified on the matter as she said “The matter of CM’s security is taken up by the security, intelligence and police department. They will assess the level of security that the CM needs and will procure vehicles and equipment according to it. Our CM KCR never ordered any specific cars nor did he keep them as a secret. It is a protocol for the intelligence department to keep the details of CM’s security as a secret.”

Kavitha said sometimes even the CM will not know about the steps taken by the intelligence department for security reasons. She said there is a separate budget for the security department and they will act independently. This is the version that Kavitha has come up with.
