The situation of ambiguity arose in AP political party alliances when Pawan Kalyan announced that his party would be in alliance with TDP for the upcoming elections. Janasena already is in an alliance with the BJP and the parties even contested in the Telangana elections together. There were doubts if Janasena and BJP broke their ties, though the latter confirmed their continuing alliance.
In the latest update, AP BJP chief Purandeswari once reiterated that Janasena is still the BJP’s ally. Janasena leader Nadendla Manohar met Purandeswari today for a brief meeting. Purandeswari emphasized that Janasena is still an ally for BJP and meeting Nadendla Manohar was a formal one. Purandeswari revealed that Manohar went to meet Siva Prakash.
Purandeswari also revealed that they discussed about alliances and strengthening the party in the state. She further clarified that the final decision on alliances will be with the high command.
When asked about YS Sharmila joining the Congress party, Purandeswari said BJP is not bothered about where she joins and the party will focus on getting strong in the state.
