TDP-Jana Sena first list gets delayed

The first list of the TDP-Jana Sena is likely to get delayed for various reasons. TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu wanted to release the list soon after Sankranti but it did not take place with the BJP not finalizing whether it would join hands with both the parties. Naidu and Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan are of the opinion that changing the candidates’ list frequently would send wrong signals to the public and hence, the delay.

According to sources, Chandrababu Naidu is not able to come to a final decision regarding the number of seats to be allocated to the Jana Sena, as part of the alliance. Initially, Naidu planned to release a list with 70 names of which TDP men would be fielded from 50 constituencies and Jana Sena from 20 constituencies.

There is talk that TDP sitting MLAs would be given priority in the list. The crucial issue here is that the TDP-Jana Sena combine is not able to come to a decision over the BJP joining hands with them.

Meanwhile, the BJP is readying its list of candidates, independently. According to information, the national leadership of the party had asked the state party unit to prepare a list of the aspirants and probables.

Accordingly, the party appointed committees for each district with three observers and they are busy with their work. In such a situation, the TDP-JS combine is not able to speculate if there would be an alliance with the BJP. The cadres of both parties are also of the opinion that their troubles would mount if there is a coalition with the BJP.

In the meantime, YCP rebels are switching loyalties either to the TDP or the Jana Sena. Naidu is in a fix over where to accommodate these leaders.

However, the TDP-JS combine had announced the name of Siveri Donnu Dora as the MLA candidate from Araku. Dora’s name is the first to be declared by the TDP-JS combine. It has to be seen when would a proper list be released.
