It’s Official: YCP MP Quits, Looking At TDP

The ruling party, YSRC has been losing its MPs ever so frequently and it doesn’t like these departures will stop in the foreseeable future. YCP has now lost Narasaraopeta MP Lavu Sri Krishna Deva Rayulu.

After dilly-dallying with the YCP high command about his future with the party for over 2 months, Lavu has decided to put an end to his journey with YCP. He resigned from his MP post and also to YCP membership today.

The YCP high command fixated on the idea of giving Narasaraopeta MP ticket to a BC candidate and this infuriated Lavu and he started to rethink his future with YCP. He has now planned alternative options and quit YCP. Before leaving YCP, he held a media meeting and said there are uncertain situations in his political future now and hence he has decided to leave YCP. He pointed out that YCP’s high command is the reason behind his resignation.

Reportedly, the MP is in talks with TDP leaders and is likely to join the party soon. Losing a young MP like Lavu before the polls and that too to the main rival, TDP, could be a headache for YCP but the party head Jagan Mohan Reddy is focused solely on his survey reports and is allotting MLA/MP tickets based only on this. So there could be more departures in the next few weeks.
