Ahead of the Assembly elections, minister Dharmana Prasada Rao has taken a shocking decision. While a few YSRC leaders are putting in all efforts to grab the party tickets, Dharmana says he does not want to contest the polls.
Speaking to newspersons, the minister said that he was not interested in contesting the upcoming elections.
He said that he had been an MLA for 25 years and that he informed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that he would like to take rest now.
“I am vexed of politics but the Chief Minister is asking me to contest the elections for the sake of YSRC.” Dharmana said that he told Jagan that he would look into the party affairs but that the latter was not agreeing to the proposal. Dharmana wants his son to contest in the elections, but Jagan reportedly forcing him to contest rather his son.
The minister said that Jagan had not given any clarity about him contesting the elections. He said that he would take part in the elections, if the people wanted. “I became a minister at the age of 33 years and would like to take rest now.”
