With the AP elections approaching in under 100 days, the anticipation of the MLA/MP seat sharing between Telugu Desam and Jana Sena has been catching up. Everyone is curious to see the number of tickets JSP will be getting in the alliance. This is leaving space for certain political opponents to spread fake news and inverted propaganda to play with the sensibilities of TDP and JSP supporters and create a clash among them.
In one such attempt, a fake letter with the letterhead of TDP and the signature of Atchannaidu has been cunningly planted on social media. The contents of this fabricated letter indicate that TDP will get 112 MLA tickets while Jana Sena will get 63 tickets in the alliance. It is mentioned in the letter that JSP has strengthened a lot and that is why the party is given 63 seats. This letter is being carried by YCP sympathizers on social media.
This propaganda doesn’t stop at that. Another morphed image of Nadendla Manohar is also being carried by the YCP social media group. In this picture, it is depicted that Manohar assured JSP supporters that the party would get at least 72 MLA tickets as a part of the seat distribution, while in reality, he didn’t make any such comment. The quality of this edit is such that anyone with a decent vision can instantly recognize that it is a fake post.
The loyalists and activists of the TDP-JSP alliance on social media have quickly reacted to this fake letter and the edited image and are propagating that this is a fabricated social media campaign.
