Nitish All Set To Ditch ‘INDIA’?

INDIA bloc would be pushed into a crisis by its convenor and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, if the buzz is to be believed.

Already, TMC boss Mamata Banerjee and AAP president Arvind Kejriwal had created sufficient commotion with their adamant and high-handedness.

In such a situation, there is talk that Nitish is also readying to alienate himself from the bloc.

According to inside information, Nitish is planning to bid adieu to the bloc and join the BJP-led NDA. As it goes that there would be no smoke without fire, it is also being said that he had already spoken to the BJP Delhi bosses on the same issue.

In addition, Nitish is also planning to convene a meeting with the JD(U) MLAs in Patna.

There is anxiety among the party cadre over the reason behind the sudden call for a meeting and that too, with such a huge number of legislators. It is being said that the MLAs were called to inform them about his plans to join the NDA.

In such a situation, there is heavy speculation over the fate of the government in Bihar.

At present, Nitish is the Chief Minister of the government formed in partnership with the RJD and Congress.

Now, if Nitish joins the NDA, the alliance partners would not prefer to be in the alliance which would push the government into a crisis. Then Nitish has to resign.

To counter this situation, it is learnt that Nitish is joining hands with the BJP and Jitin Ram Mangli’s Hindustan Awam Morcha but neither of these parties have enough numbers to stand in support to Nitish and form a strong government.

This indicates that Nitish’s government might crumble any moment. It is not new for Nitish to keep switching allegiance from one coalition to the other as he had done it nearly 5-6 times but everytime, he ensures that he remains the CM candidate.

Significantly, Nitish Kumar did not contest as an MLA during the last five elections.

He rose to the chief minister post after becoming an MLC.

It has to be seen how things would turn out for Nitish in the coming few days.
