Naidu Duets With Modi, Jagan Did Time-pass

The newly appointed President of Andhra Pradesh Congress, YS Sharmila, does not mince words when it comes to criticizing her brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and Chandrababu Naidu. She targeted both of them while addressing the issue of Special Category Status (SCS) for AP today.

Sharmila recalled that in 2014, Modi promised in Tirupati to grant SCS to AP and develop a world-class city. She stated, “Chandrababu and Modi tricked us by promising SCS. For four years, Naidu sang duets with Modi and filed cases against those who questioned about SCS. Essentially, Modi cheated AP in broad daylight.”

She criticized her brother, Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that during his hunger strike for SCS, he promised mass resignations to push for the cause. However, after becoming CM, not a single MLA or MP resigned in support of SCS. Sharmila accused Jagan of merely engaging in timepass for the last 5 years.

The AP Congress leader mentioned that Rahul Gandhi assured her of granting SCS to AP if Congress forms the government. Using this, Sharmila argued that Naidu collaborated with BJP while Jagan idled away without actively fighting for the SCS, which AP should have received long ago.
