The coming 2024 elections are of great importance for Pawan Kalyan not just on the Janasena party front, but also at personal capacity as the expectations are firmly in place for him to undo the negative result in 2019 and win the electoral poll by hook or crook this term.
Pawan appears to be well in tune with what is at stake for him this time and he has meticulously devised his electoral plan for the polls. The Janasena chief is nearly confirmed to contest both MLA and MP seats this year. While there are several media reports that he is nearly confirmed to contest from Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency, the wait continues on which assembly constituency he would pick.
But unlike 2019, where Pawan relied solely on JSP, he will have additional electioneering and campaigning resources this term as he has the support of TDP and BJP. It is more likely that he will win the Kakinada Lok Sabha seat and also whichever assembly seat he picks, as he will get additional support from TDP and BJP.
Practically speaking, Pawan is anyways bound to be roped into the cabinet, be it state. But, after his recent meet in Delhi with BJP bigwigs, Pawan reportedly got assurance on central cabinet if he win as MP.
Under any circumstances, Pawan is bound to win at least one constituency, if not both. If he wins both as an MP and also as an MLA, he could get the choice to pick either the state ministry or the central ministry in the NDA government. Both Chandrababu and BJP high command value him highly so his infusion in the state or central cabinet is a given.
