Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced a solatium of Rs 20 lakh from the CM Relief Fund for both the kids of Geethanjali who passed away after falling under a train and was severely injured.
On knowing about the death and the sequence of incidents that led to her death, the Chief Minister showed his magnanimity by asking the officials to deposit the solatium in the name of the two kids, who do not have their mother.
Geethanjali’s family thanked the CM for his financial assistance and understanding nature.
The death caught the attention of social media users as it happened immediately after she was trolled and called ‘paid artist’ following a video wherein she expressed happiness over getting a house plot under Jagan’s housing scheme.
All of a sudden, there was news that Geetanjali passed away and a couple of kids were found crying at her corpse on social media posts.
Meanwhile, there are arguments that Geethanjali died by suicide unable to withstand the trolling against her on social media and calling her a ‘paid artist’ for campaigning in favour of Jagan while another group says that the reason for the death is not yet investigated and verified and hence, people should stop politicizing her death.
