#10YearsOfJanasena: Crucial Phase Ahead!

The Jana Sena party completed 10 years of its journey in Andhra Pradesh. The JSP cadre has been celebrating the occasion with enthusiasm. It would have been good if the party chief Pawan Kalyan would have addressed a public meeting on the occasion in view of the fast approaching elections.

However, Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan is busy taking decisions about seat sharing, selecting candidates and other party affairs. It is learnt that he had dropped the idea of addressing a huge public meeting in the last minute.

It is learnt that he had met the party candidates and distributed the B-forms. While many of the JSP aspirants are happy that they had secured the B-forms, Sandeep Panchkarla, Pothina Venkata Mahesh and others are still waiting for a green signal from Kalyan over their candidature.

However, Jana Sena Tanuku leader Vidivada’s comments that he would continue to stick to the party even if he was not given a ticket springed a surprise. Till recently, there was buzz that he would shift loyalties but now, his statements are in complete contrast.

During the last 10 years of the Jana Sena’s journey, the party could win only one Assembly seat. Hence, the elections to be held this year are very crucial for the party. Over 21 MLA candidates and 2 MP candidates are being fielded by the party and the alliance with the TDP and BJP is also expected to reap benefits.

If Jana Senani’s remarks of 99 per cent strike rate can become a reality, the voice of Jana Sena would be heard in the state Assembly and it would also give a boost to the party with respect to elevation of status.

The fact that Jana Sena has weathered many political storms and stood firm for ten years is not just a matter of hope. Especially in the politics driven by money, advocating for change is a tremendous feat.
