The protracted dispute over the allocation of land and properties at Andhra Pradesh (AP) Bhavan in New Delhi has finally been settled by the Union Home Ministry. According to the recent order issued on March 15, 8.24 acres have been designated to Telangana, while Andhra Pradesh will receive 11.536 acres, adhering to the A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014.
Telangana’s portion includes three acres in the Sabari Block and 5.245 acres in Pataudi House. On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh will acquire the Godavari Block and Swarna Mukhi Block, comprising 5.781 acres. Additionally, 3.359 acres in the Nursing Hostel and 2.396 acres in Pataudi House have been allocated. Both state governments have consented to these allotments, which were formalized by orders from the Union Home Ministry on Friday, following a meeting held in New Delhi on March 11 where representatives from both states discussed the division of property.
