In a sensational allegation, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh claimed that Republic TV indulged in a fraud to get maximum ratings. The top cop Singh called on the media and informed that Republic TV paid Rs 400 to Rs 500 to households to get such huge ratings. The cop further added that they are investigating the case and might even question Editor-in-Chief of the channel Arnab Goswami.
Reacting to these allegations, Arnab Goswami denied that and added that they would be suing Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. A statement was released by Arnab and added that this same cop is investigating Bollywood hero Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death.
“This kind of targeting only strengthens the resolve of everyone at Republic TV to push for the truth even harder. Param Bir Singh stands completely exposed today, since BARC has not mentioned Republic in any single complaint. He should issue an official apology and get ready to face us in court,” said Arnab in a statement.
