The Telugu Desam Party and Janasena leaders have been warning their supporters of fake campaigns that are being run by certain political forces. These parties are actively countering the fake propaganda and fake letters that are being spread with their letterheads and party symbols on social media. But this time, it is the turn of AP BJP to face the wrath of the fake letter campaign.
A letter with AP BJP letterhead started to trend on social media and it claims that Daggubati Purandeswari is resigning as AP BJP president. In this letter, it is mentioned that Purandeswari is stepping down after her relative’s name came up in the recent Vizag drug bust. This letter looked farfetched right from the outset but it was being carried proactively by a section of certain social media users.
But AP BJP was quick to react to this fake campaign as they shared a strongly assertive social media post, dispelling the fake letter.
“A Fake letter claims that BJP AP State President Smt Daggubati Purandeswari has resigned. Please note that it is a fake news being circulated by anti NDA alliance forces.” AP BJP said in a social media statement.
In the end, this was just a fake letter campaign against BJP. The AP regiment of the national party quickly reacted to this and urged public not to trust in this narrative.
