Tennis sensation Sania Mirza is all likely to take a political plunge. If reports are anything to go by, Sania Mirza may contest as the Congress MP from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency. The Congress wants to field Sania in this crucial seat which is represented by MIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi. MIM has a strong hold in this constituency while Congress wants to break this.
However, these are just rumours doing the rounds and there is no exact confirmation on Sania’s political entry and election contest. Neither Sania Mirza nor her father Imran Mirza have made any statement in connection with these media reports.
Meanwhile, the Congress Central Election Committee meeting is scheduled to take place in Delhi tomorrow. The finalization of the list of candidates contesting in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 is almost complete. Let’s wait and see whether Sania’s name will be featured in tomorrow’s list or not.
