As Andhra Pradesh is going to polls exactly 4 weeks from today, the leading parties are working on their last-minute strategies. Shockingly in the case of Janasena, the party was riddled with a legal battle after a couple of petitions were filed to remove the glass tumbler election symbol for Janasena and make it a free symbol.
After the Election Commission granted the glass symbol for Janasena, a wicked political plan was devised to grab this symbol from the Pawan Kalyan-led party. But the AP high court cleared the confusion on the petitions filed against JSP’s election symbol today by dismissing them effective immediately. The petitions filed by the Rashtriya Praja Congress Party were dismissed.
The AP High Court delivered the verdict that there shall be no interference with the Election Commission’s allotment of glass symbol to Janasena. This means JSP will continue with its trademark glass symbol for the coming election. The attempt to unsettle the party cadres by trying to grab the glass symbol wasn’t encouraged by the AP High Court.
