Six years after the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy, it is still one of the main topics of discussion in the lead-up to the 2024 Andhra Pradesh elections. YS Sharmila and Sunitha have been extensively targeting YS Jagan and Avinash Reddy using the Vivekananda Reddy murder topic and putting the YCP top leadership in hot water.
But in a sensational order that was passed by the Kadapa court today, it is clearly mentioned that Vivekananda Reddy’s murder must not be spoken in public forms.
The court notified Sharmila, Sunitha, Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, Nara Lokesh, and Purandeshwari not to speak about Vivekananda Reddy’s murder. Essentially, all the opposition leaders in AP were asked not to speak on this matter.
Notably, the murder case is still under investigation in the court and the CBI is investigating the facts of the same. However, due to the relevance of the topic and the kind of interlocking it has with the incumbent YSR Congress government and its chief YS Jagan, the opposition leaders have been addressing it in their campaigns.
The court order is coming at a time when the opposition leaders have been critiquing Jagan. In particular, Sharmila and Sunitha have been taking Jagan to the cleaners for not helping the family in the hour of crisis and instead harboring the murderers. But with the new order from the Kadapa court, Vivekananda Reddy’s murder topic can’t be used by the opposition leaders.
