YS Sharmila Took Rs 82 Cr Loan From Jagan

In the official affidavit that YS Sharmila filed as a part of her nomination process for the Kadapa parliament segment, the AP Congress president stated that she has assets worth Rs 182 crore.

The most interesting part of the affidavit is that Sharmila has denoted that she owes over Rs 82 crore to her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife Bharathi combined.

In the affidavit, Sharmila mentioned she took a loan of Rs 82,58,15,000 from brother and Chief Minister of AP, YS Jagan, and another loan of Rs 19,56,682 from Jagan’s spouse YS Bharati Reddy. 

Sharmila owing over Rs 82 crore to Jagan Mohan Reddy and Bharathi might be a personal exchange, but in the political spectrum, this has led to a discussion. There is an existing common talk in the media and also the general public that asset division and financial disputes are the reasons behind the fallout between Sharmila and Jagan in the first place. This talk could get exaggerated after Sharmila’s affidavit mentioning she owes Jagan Rs 82 crore.
