Modi Wishes CBN: Right Message At Right Time

Telugu Desam Party president and senior statesman Nara Chandrababu Naidu turned 74 today and it has been a busy day for the seasoned politician as he is fully involved with the election campaign in Andhra Pradesh. On the occasion, Prime Minister Modi shared a heartfelt note to the TDP chief.

Taking to Twitter, Modi tweeted “Birthday wishes to former Andhra Pradesh CM Shri Chandrababu Garu. An experienced leader, he has always devoted himself towards AP’s all-round progress. I pray that he is blessed with a long and healthy life in service of the people.” Right from the first glance it can be seen that this isn’t an obligation tweet but a thoughtful one as Modi terms Naidu as “experienced” and “devoted”.

Naidu replied saying “Thank you for your kind birthday wishes, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. I am forever committed to serving my people of Andhra Pradesh with all my heart.”

This carefully curated tweet from Modi is the need of the hour to settle the nerves of the alliance supporters who have been skeptical about the nature of the formulation of the TDP+ alliance. The Twitter exchange between the two senior statesmen at the crucial election juncture has come at the right time. A section of TDP supporters was doubtful about the inclination of Modi and Naidu towards the alliance and this social media exchange between the two of them will have a settling effect on this section.
