Babu Mark Politics: Party President In Morning, Quit By Evening

A few senior leaders make politics look like a joke and one such leader is Telugu actor turned-politician Babu Mohan who has covered virtually every political party in Telangana in search of MLA and MP tickets. Apart from the mainstream BJP and BRS, Babu Mohan even joined KA Paul’s Prajashanthi party.

But Babu’s stay with KA Paul’s party was so short-lived that he joined the party in the morning and then immediately quit the party by evening. He went from being Prajashanthi Telangana president in the morning to quitting the party by evening. For those wondering about what actually happened, here is what Babu Mohan said.

The actor-politician revealed that KA Paul invited him to a casual coffee meeting and hence he went to have a courtesy meeting. ‘I wasn’t aware that KA Paul had other plans. After the coffee meeting, he put a kanduva around my neck and announced me as the Telangana president of the party which I didn’t intend to hold. So I quit the party on that very day.’

Babu Mohan is now active in the Telangana electoral space as he filed his nomination from the Warangal parliament segment as an independent candidate. He came in a wheelchair to file his nomination yesterday.
