Andhra Pradesh elections are done and dusted with the polling being wrapped up last night. There is a lot of anticipation on the final poll turnout tally as the EC is expected to unveil an official update on the same today. There are conservative estimates that the final poll tally could be in the range of 80% which is similar to the 2019 elections.
While the anticipation of the poll turnout continues, many people are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the exit poll results as well.
But the wait for exit poll results on the Andhra Pradesh election would still take a fair bit of time. The order from the Election Commission is that there is an unequivocal ban on exit polls till the 1st of June.
The exit polls must be made public only after all parts of India complete the election, which is scheduled to be done by 1st June.
In view of the existing ban, the exit polls can be made public by media houses and survey agencies only on June 1st which is three days before the actual counting. The exit polls regarding AP elections could be out any minute after 6 PM on 1st June when India completes all the phases of the polling.
