Telangana: India’s Youngest Corona Patient Discharged

A 45-day-old boy from Telangana’s Mahbubnagar district, probably India’s youngest Corona positive patient, has been discharged today after the toddler tested negative in two tests in a row. He was admitted when he was 20-day-old, youngest in the country who contacted with the novel virus and recovered.

After 25 days of thorough treatment, he has completely recovered and was discharged from Gandhi hospital. The media bulletin issued by the Department of Public Health & Family Welfare of the Telangana state government today at 9 PM corroborated the discharge of India’s youngest patient.

According to reports, Telangana state government so far successfully discharged 13 children after suffering from Covid-19. This is considered to be unique feat in the country.

As per the bulletin, today 7 new positive cases have been identified with zero deaths and all the seven cases are from GHMC region only. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 cases in Telangana touched 1016 of which 409 persons have been cured/discharged. So, the active cases till date stand at 582.

Meanwhile, the Telangana state government has announced 11 districts of the state with zero Corona cases. The list includes Siddipet, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Narayanpet, Wanaparthy, Peddapally, Warangal (Rural), Bhadradri, Nagarkurnool, Mulugu and Yadadri districts.
