Janasena party worked very hard in the recently concluded general elections of Andhra Pradesh. Tying up with TDP and BJP, Janasena is expecting a victory in the majority of places where they fielded its candidates. Interestingly, there is a lot of buzz about the betting being done on the victory chances of the party.
It is common in some areas of Godavari districts to bet on certain things. Especially, the betting on cricket, IPL and movie collections is very routine in these areas. But, we have come to know that the latest betting is on the strike rate of Janasena party in the elections.
The bets are high on who will win in Pithapuram, Mangalagiri, Kuppam and other high profile constituencies and with what majority is the question. In one of the political speeches, Janasenani Pawan announced that his party will achieve 98 percent strike rate. Now, the bets are surrounded on this aspect. Janasena supporters betting on the strike rate of 80%.
According to this, Janasena will have to secure victory in close to 15-18 seats of the total they contested. Only then, it will be an achievement. Some of the leaders in Janasena are also commenting that their internal surveys give an edge to Janasena in close to 15 seats.
Having said and done, it will be interesting to see if these bets on ‘Janasena Strike Rate’ will yield profits to the stakeholders.
