Prime Minister Modi filed his nomination from Varanasi on the 14th of May and this rally was attended by Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. As is the requirement, Modi submitted his election affidavit to the EC, and here is a look into the details mentioned by the BJP stalwart.
In the affidavit, it is mentioned that Modi doesn’t own any cars. It is mentioned “Nil” in the bracket where the number of vehicles must be denoted. The prime minister of India not owning any cars might be surprising for many, but that is understandable considering that he has a fully equipped convoy by his side 24/7.
Coming to the moveable assets, Modi noted that he has Rs 3.02 crores in moveable assets. He has just Rs 52,000 in cash. Modi has just Rs 7000 money in one of the two SBI bank accounts that he owns. Apart from that, he has Rs 2,85,60,338 in SBI fixed deposits.
The affidavit further mentioned that Modi’s taxable income doubled from Rs 11 lakh in fiscal year 2018-19 to Rs 23.5 lakh in 2022-23.
