During the election campaigning for the 2024 general elections that took place in the last couple of months, a major shocker came when mega family’s Allu Arjun turned up to canvass for YSR Congress Nandyal MLA candidate Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, saying that he’s his friend.
So far, Shilpa Ravi has fetched 17385 votes, but still, he is trailing with 5,228 votes as Telugudesam Party’s Mohammad Farook got 22613 votes after the second round of counting. While the further rounds might increase/decrease the majority, trends are indicating that TDP might walk out as a winner here even if the ‘exit polls’ are anything to go by.
Meanwhile, in other constituencies of Kurnool district, Telugudesam is leading in 11 places, while YSR Congress is leading in 2 places.
