After suffering an unimaginable defeat in the 2024 elections with only 11 MLAs out of the 151 seats won in the previous elections, the YSRCP led by Jagan Mohan Reddy has been subjected to heavy trolling from the past couple of days.
While the cadre of YSRCP continue to grieve the unexpected setback and search for reasons, the supporters of NDA alliance are busy mocking them for the humiliation meted out by the people of Andhra Pradesh.
As they won only 11 MLAs, the TDP and Janasena followers are teasing that Jagan is ready with his team for ‘Aadudam Andhra’, an initiative which was launched last year by the previous government to promote fitness and provide platform for talented individuals in various sports.
Though the concept received a good response from the YSRCP cadre, opposition parties criticised Jagan for not prioritising the interests of the state and giving preference to unnecessary activities.
Meanwhile, many are expressing doubts over Jagan’s participation in the upcoming assembly sessions with the remaining 10 MLAs because there is no opposition status for them as they fell short of the requisite 10 % MLAs out of the 175 seats.
Jagan held a meeting with all his MLAs and other leaders in Tadepalli yesterday to review the reasons for the crushing defeat despite dolling out thousands of crores in the last five years in the name of several welfare schemes.
